Three Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Award

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The three finalists have been recognised for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The finalists were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.
The event will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.
The Football Star

A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being nominated for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
Littler's Profile

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
