The Streaming Giant Chooses Perfect Star for Bentham in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is set to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has just been cast.
The platform declared Tuesday that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. This character has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that figure re-envisioned as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action series, as in the original manga and anime.
The new cast member will work alongside multiple new cast members who will portray the organization to life, featuring chief Mr. 0, brought to life by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Even though Bon Clay is a key figure of the group, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Given the next season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this represents a notable change in the placement of their first appearance, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.
Their mix of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the part. In addition to their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10, 2026.
