Around 25,000 households in Queensland's southeast found themselves without power on the start of the week after powerful weather events impacted the area, generating strong winds hitting 109km/h.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along significant areas of the state's eastern regions this coming days as a weather pattern continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.

Tomorrow was forecast to be the most rainy day, with ongoing storm activity anticipated across multiple regions of both areas.

Medical authorities cautioned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
