Match Preview

Manchester United, after defeating Liverpool and Sunderland, are targeting three Premier League wins on the bounce this evening. The wind’s behind them under Ruben Amorim for the very first time!

Yet, the opposing team are Brighton & Hove Albion, who have won on each of their last three trips at the Theatre of Dreams, plus six out of seven League meetings in this rivalry.

Despite United’s form; Brighton have found it’s been a breeze. That said, the visitors are also famously erratic similar to their opponents, so this game is competing and maybe rollickingly good entertainment.

Kick-off is at 5.30 in the evening and we say this for the last time in a while as the clocks go back this evening, everyone. It’s on!

Squad Updates

Man Utd have made two changes in the wake of the Anfield triumph against Liverpool. Šeško is selected for Mason Mount, now on the substitutes, while last week’s win-securing hero Harry Maguire doesn’t feature at all, Yoro replaces him in defence.

An issue arose during training this week. Malacia returns on the bench this campaign.

The Seagulls opted for one change post-success against versus Newcastle. It’s ostensibly a defensive one, bringing in De Cuyper for Diego Gómez, who drops to the bench.

Danny Welbeck, formerly of United champions in in 2012-13, visits his old club on a hot streak scoring four in three, one more than he’d managed from 15 prior games.

Build-Up

Ruben Amorim doesn’t much care for the opinions of Liverpool’s boss … while Welbeck is focused about the considerations by the former Chelsea manager.

Analysts have noted this encounter could have implications for both teams’ seasons as the Premier League campaign progresses.

Ones to watch include Bruno Fernandes for United plus Welbeck from the away side, both on song recently.
