It's tough for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The top summits have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the record chasers, are the only things left for a squad that has achieved everything.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over five decades.

It is hard for their hitters to possess a record if never given the opportunity.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

Once she was dismissed Australia required another 66 at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I'm pleased we have the confidence to do that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can do it."

These statements will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this tournament should hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this victory following success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.

It was at that stage they exited last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at a significant event.

So great is her will, she afterwards commented she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those injuries have delayed consideration of ending her career, this tournament is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as leader.
